Dear Luminaries,
Thank you for your overwhelming response to our appeal for The Glass Ceiling and letters of support for its liquor license. Within four days we have received over 100 substantial letters! Please keep them coming through Monday, December 9th.
As mentioned, the Community Board 5 (CB5) has denied our application for the liquor license, however, this matter will go to the SLA (State Liquor Authority) for either approval or denial. We are trying to work with CB5 and be good neighbors to The Gilsey House, which are the majority in opposition to The Glass Ceiling.
While the SLA hearing won’t be until January, there is a full board CB5 meeting Thursday,12/12 at 6PM that is open to the public.
Many of you have asked how you can further help. Here’s how: For any of you who live in CB5 (you can see the map attached), or are just passionate Luminary Members that can make it, please attend the meeting in support of Luminary/The Glass Ceiling. I know that dozens of Gilsey House residents will be there to oppose our liquor license and operations so it will be very meaningful to have your support and presence as advocates. Details for the meeting are below.
Lastly, if any of you know your local city council members or representatives, please let me know. We would love to ask them for their support too.

Sincerely,
